St. Louis, MO – Residents across Missouri weary of recent bitter cold can look forward to a warming trend next week, according to the National Weather Service in St. Louis.
The NWS announced that above-average temperatures are favored across the region from Tuesday, January 28, through Saturday, February 1. Forecasted highs are expected to range from 35 to 42 degrees Fahrenheit, with lows between 18 and 24 degrees Fahrenheit.
According to the Climate Prediction Center, there is a 33–50% chance of above-average temperatures during this period, offering a brief reprieve from the winter chill. While temperatures will be warmer than typical late January averages, conditions will still remain below the threshold for significant thawing.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts for updates and prepare for the milder weather while remaining mindful of typical winter hazards, including icy conditions that may persist during overnight lows.
