St. Louis, MO – Police are searching for a man who allegedly fired gunshots into a north St. Louis grocery store after being refused service last week.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred Thursday morning around 9:40 a.m. at a Price Chopper in the 2700 block of Goodfellow. Detectives said the suspect entered the business wearing a face mask and approached the cashier’s counter. When the employee asked him to remove his mask and he refused, service was denied.

Authorities said the man allegedly became angry, left the store and then fired several rounds into the business before fleeing on foot. No one was injured during the gunfire, but the store sustained ballistic damage.

Police described the suspect as a Black male who was wearing a black hooded jacket, black shorts and a black ski mask. Investigators warned he should be considered armed and dangerous.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department released surveillance photos of the suspect and is urging anyone with information to come forward. Anonymous tips can be submitted to CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477) or directly to detectives at 314-444-0001. Police emphasized that only tips submitted to CrimeStoppers that lead to a felony arrest are eligible for cash rewards.

Authorities continue to investigate and ask the public to remain vigilant.
