However, wind chills will make it feel much colder, potentially dipping into the low 40s. South winds between 7 and 13 mph will pick up throughout the day, with gusts reaching up to 24 mph.

By Wednesday night, rain chances decrease, but the cloud cover will remain. Overnight lows will hover around 54°F, with continued gusty conditions. Drivers should remain cautious on the roads, as slick surfaces and reduced visibility could impact evening commutes.

Thursday will bring relief with partly sunny skies and a high of 64°F, offering Springfield a brief taste of warmer conditions. Winds will calm slightly, making for a more comfortable day. However, by Thursday night, temperatures will start to dip, with a low around 37°F.

Looking ahead, Friday remains mild with a high of 51°F and partly sunny skies, but a shift in weather patterns late Friday night could bring more showers. Weekend temperatures will drop further, with Saturday’s high reaching just 46°F before plummeting to a low of 27°F overnight.

Sunday will offer some sunshine, but temperatures will remain cool, with a high near 43°F. Residents planning outdoor activities should prepare for fluctuating conditions and possible rain interruptions.
