St. Louis, MO – Missouri residents will see an early fall warmup this week, with temperatures climbing into the 80s and some locations potentially touching 90 degrees through Tuesday.

According to the US National Weather Service in St. Louis, highs from Sunday through Tuesday are expected in the mid to upper 80s, with a few spots reaching the 90-degree mark. While this may feel more like July than late September, meteorologists note that the heat remains modest compared to past records. In 1953, the region saw its latest triple-digit temperature on record during a late September heat wave.

Fortunately, humidity levels will stay in check, with dew points in the 50s, making the warmth more tolerable for outdoor activities. The National Weather Service expects slightly cooler conditions beginning Wednesday, with highs settling into the low to mid-80s through Friday.

Despite the late-season warmth, forecasters do not anticipate dangerous conditions, though residents should stay hydrated and use caution during peak afternoon heat.

This stretch of above-average temperatures comes as many Missouri communities transition into fall events, making the warm, dry weather a welcome development for outdoor gatherings.
