Missouri Forecast: Thunderstorms Expected Through Independence Day

St. Louis, MO – Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected this week in Missouri, potentially impacting Independence Day celebrations. The National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis has issued a forecast predicting intermittent storms through Friday, with some areas receiving 1 to 2 inches of rainfall.

According to the NWS, the week will begin with increasing chances of showers and storms on Tuesday and Tuesday night, with probabilities ranging from 40% to 80% across central and northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois. High temperatures are expected to reach between 88°F and 94°F.

On Wednesday, which includes Independence Day, there is a 30% to 50% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. The likelihood of rain increases to 60% to 80% by evening. Daytime highs will range from 85°F to 95°F, cooling slightly to 83°F to 90°F by night.

The stormy weather is forecasted to continue into Thursday night and Friday, with a 30% to 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will remain between 88°F and 94°F. Despite the anticipated storms, there will be periods of dry weather.
