St. Louis, MO – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a van and four suspects wanted in connection with a mail theft reported in Downtown West last week.
According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to the U.S. Postal Service building in the 1700 block of Market Street around 5:30 p.m. on September 11. Investigators say the suspects arrived in a red Plymouth Voyager minivan, believed to be a 2000s model, with no license plates.
Police reported that three suspects dressed in all black exited the vehicle, entered the building’s loading dock, and stole two totes of mail. The suspects then fled in the van, which was driven by a heavy-set man described as wearing a white T-shirt.
Detectives from the department’s 4th District are investigating. Authorities have released surveillance images of the vehicle and are urging anyone with information to contact St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers at 866-371-TIPS (8477) or call 911.
Police note that only tips submitted directly to CrimeStoppers that lead to a felony arrest are eligible for a cash reward.
