PADUCAH, Ky. – A crisp start to the week across the Quad State will quickly give way to a late-summer warmup as high pressure settles in. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-40s and low 50s through Monday night, but by midweek, highs will climb into the lower 90s across much of western Kentucky, southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, and southwest Indiana.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, the region will stay dry with no rain in the forecast, allowing daytime temperatures to rise well above normal beginning Wednesday. Despite the heat, relative humidity values are expected to stay low—dropping into the upper 20s and low 30s in some areas—which should help keep the heat from feeling overly oppressive.

Evansville, Owensboro, and Paducah will all push into the 90s from Wednesday through Saturday, while Carbondale and Cape Girardeau will also see the warm stretch take hold. Overnight lows will rebound into the 60s late in the week, ending the early taste of fall.

Residents are urged to stay hydrated, limit strenuous activity during peak afternoon hours, and remain mindful of fire danger as humidity drops. Conditions are expected to remain hot and dry through at least Saturday, with no rain relief in sight.
