According to the National Weather Service, active weather will shift southward on Saturday, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms to southeast Missouri and southwest Illinois. Highs are expected to reach the low 80s.
By Sunday, the weather will turn mild and dry across the region, with temperatures ranging through the 80s. Monday will bring cooler, dry air, with highs between the upper 70s and low 80s, providing a pleasant end to the holiday weekend.
Rain is expected to begin around 10 a.m. Saturday, with cloud cover persisting through much of the day. The showers are anticipated to move out by late Saturday, allowing for clearer skies on Sunday and Monday.
