Springfield, MO – The National Weather Service in Springfield has released its 8–14 day outlook for November 7–13, calling for above-normal temperatures and a slight trend toward below-normal precipitation across southern Missouri and surrounding states.

According to the NWS Climate Prediction Center, ensemble models suggest temperatures may run 3 to 6 degrees above average, with normal highs typically ranging from 56–62°F and lows from 36–40°F this time of year.

The forecast indicates a 62% chance of above-normal temperatures for the Missouri Ozarks region, with rainfall expected to be slightly below average—around 0.85 to 1.01 inches for the period.

Forecasters say this pattern aligns with a stable ridge in the jet stream over the central U.S., which tends to promote warmer and drier conditions through mid-November. However, short-term cold fronts may still bring brief cooldowns or isolated showers.

Overall, early November is shaping up to be mild and mostly dry across Springfield, Joplin, Rolla, and the Ozarks region, continuing the trend of a warmer-than-usual fall season.
