Jackson, MS – After a series of active weather events, Mississippi residents are in for a period of calm weather this weekend and into next week. Highs are expected to hover in the low 70s across much of the state today and Saturday, with clear skies and mild conditions providing a perfect break from recent storms.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), today, April 11, temperatures will range from 70°F in Jackson to 76°F in Bastrop. For areas like Vicksburg, Yazoo City, and Meridian, expect highs around 75°F. While the forecast looks bright for most of the state, some scattered clouds are possible near Columbus and Eupora. These mild conditions will extend into Saturday, with highs around 68°F in Greenville and 70°F in Jackson, along with more sunshine.

This stretch of good weather provides an opportunity for outdoor activities and travel, but as always, NWS urges drivers to stay alert for any sudden changes. Those in the northern part of the state, especially around Columbus, may experience some patchy clouds, but no significant disruptions are expected.

The forecast looks stable, with no major storms predicted through the weekend, allowing Mississippi to enjoy several days of pleasant, sunny conditions.
