St. Louis, MO – Significant rainfall across the Midwest, including South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, has caused river levels to rise in Missouri. The National Weather Service in St. Louis reports that the Mississippi River is experiencing higher water levels, with minor flooding expected north of the confluence at St. Louis.

According to the National Weather Service, tributaries and smaller rivers in the Missouri-Illinois area are also affected, but to a lesser extent. The Mississippi River in central and eastern Missouri is currently below flood stage, but residents should stay alert as levels continue to rise.

The 10-day forecast for St. Louis shows varied weather conditions. Today, expect a high of 83°F with a 45% chance of rain. Thursday will be partly sunny with a high of 67°F, while Friday will see a high of 68°F with cloudy skies. Saturday has a 45% chance of rain with a high of 74°F, followed by a cooler Sunday at 68°F. The start of next week will be sunny with highs of 61°F on Monday and 66°F on Tuesday. Another chance of rain comes on Wednesday with a 40% chance and a high of 74°F, continuing to partly sunny conditions for the rest of the week.
