Pringle, SD – A minor earthquake with a magnitude of 2.9 was recorded early Sunday, approximately 13 kilometers east-northeast of Pringle, South Dakota.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake occurred at 03:14 UTC (9:14 p.m. CST Saturday) at a depth of 5.0 kilometers. The event was reviewed and confirmed by the agency.

One individual reported feeling the tremor, though no damage or injuries have been recorded. Earthquakes of this magnitude are typically weak and unlikely to cause significant impact.
