There is a potential for a couple of tornadoes, with hail possibly reaching the size of apples. Additionally, wind gusts could reach up to 70 mph, posing a significant threat to safety and property.
The tornado watch impacts approximately 637,546 people, including 298 schools and 24 hospitals. Residents are urged to monitor weather updates and have a safety plan in place.
Emergency services recommend seeking shelter in a sturdy building away from windows and having an emergency kit ready. Those on the road should find a safe place to pull over until the threat passes.
