Minneapolis, MN – A winter weather advisory remains in effect until 9 a.m. Monday, with snowfall and slippery road conditions expected across the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. Drivers should prepare for a challenging morning commute with icy roads and reduced visibility.

According to the National Weather Service, snowfall between 1 to 4 inches is expected, with higher localized amounts possible. Accumulating snow and strong northeast winds will make travel hazardous, especially along the I-94 corridor. Road conditions will worsen overnight, and officials urge drivers to slow down and allow extra time for travel.

Monday will bring cloudy skies and a high near 24°F, with lingering flurries possible in the morning. Temperatures will drop to single digits Monday night, with wind chills as low as -11°F. Tuesday will remain cold and mostly cloudy, with a high of 14°F. Snow chances return Wednesday, with light accumulation expected.

Residents should check 511mn.org for real-time road updates and exercise caution when traveling. Another round of snow is expected midweek, increasing the potential for additional hazards.
