According to the US National Weather Service Twin Cities, scattered rain showers are likely elsewhere in Minnesota. After a sunny Wednesday, plan for a wet and stormy July 4th with the potential for locally heavy rain.

A flood advisory remains in effect until 8:15 AM Tuesday near International Falls, with 2 to 3 inches of rain recorded so far. Additional rainfall up to 1 inch is possible across northeast Minnesota, according to the US National Weather Service Duluth. Today’s forecast predicts high temperatures between 75 and 80 degrees with a 70% chance of thunderstorms in southeast Minnesota and western Wisconsin.

The Twin Cities metro area can expect mostly sunny and warmer weather on Wednesday, with highs between 80 and 85 degrees. However, thunderstorms and locally heavy rain are forecast for Thursday, with temperatures ranging from 75 to 80 degrees. Rainy conditions are expected throughout the week, with temperatures fluctuating from the mid-60s to low 80s.
