Twin Cities, MN – Residents in the Twin Cities and across Minnesota should prepare for scattered showers and thunderstorms moving in from west to east throughout the day today. While the risk of severe weather remains low, rain is expected to persist into the evening, particularly in areas north of I-94. The highest probability of precipitation is forecasted for mid-afternoon into the evening hours.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, the weather pattern will shift as cooler air moves in from the northwest on Thursday, bringing breezier conditions and significantly lower temperatures. Highs on Thursday are expected to range between 63 and 68 degrees, marking a noticeable drop from today’s highs of 70 to 75 degrees.

The cool trend will continue into Friday, with highs struggling to reach 70 degrees under partly cloudy skies. The weekend outlook appears more stable, with temperatures gradually rebounding. Saturday will see highs around 69 to 71 degrees, while Sunday promises partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-70s.

Looking ahead to early next week, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, reaching the upper 70s to near 80 degrees by Wednesday, offering a brief respite from the cooler weather before another potential front approaches.
