According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, the rain-free period today marks the first since Friday. However, rain chances will return tomorrow and persist through Saturday. Showers and storms are expected to bring 1-3 inches of rain throughout the weekend, with local areas potentially seeing even higher amounts.

Thursday will see a 30-60% chance of showers and storms, with temperatures ranging from 69-72Ā°F. Friday is expected to bring widespread rain, with 1-2 inches of precipitation likely and localized areas possibly receiving over 3 inches. Temperatures will be between 75-85Ā°F. Rain is expected to exit early on Saturday, with decreasing clouds and temperatures from 78-83Ā°F. Sunday promises mostly sunny skies, with highs again between 78-83Ā°F.
