Minneapolis, Minnesota – Minnesotans can look forward to a warmer and sunnier stretch through Saturday, with highs reaching the mid to upper 60s and only a slight chance of rain returning by Sunday.
According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, decreasing clouds today will give way to increasing sunshine and stable temperatures statewide. Friday brings more clouds but continued warmth, with highs from 62 to 67 degrees and overnight lows staying well above freezing.
Saturday looks to be the warmest and brightest of the four-day outlook, with highs nearing 68 degrees and partly sunny skies across central and southern Minnesota. Sunday brings a modest 20% chance of showers, mainly in the southwest corner of the state, including areas like Worthington and Marshall.
Residents in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas like Rochester and Mankato can expect dry conditions through most of the weekend. It’s a good window for outdoor plans, but those in southwestern counties should monitor for potential light rain Sunday evening.
The pattern looks steady through the weekend, but cooler and wetter weather may return early next week. Another update is expected by Sunday morning.
