Duluth, Minnesota – Showers are expected to return to northeast Minnesota by Tuesday, ending a stretch of sunny weather across the Northland. Residents in Duluth and surrounding communities should prepare for cloudy skies and a 30–50% chance of rain starting late Tuesday morning and continuing into Wednesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, partly to mostly sunny skies will hold through Monday, with daytime highs ranging from the upper 50s near Lake Superior to the mid-70s inland. Cooler lake breezes will keep shoreline communities several degrees lower than inland towns like Hibbing and Ely. Tuesday marks a shift, with increased moisture bringing a slight uptick in rain chances, especially during the afternoon and early evening hours.

Cities across northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin—including Two Harbors, Cloquet, and Ashland—may see light showers midweek. Overnight lows will remain mild, in the low to upper 40s through Wednesday. Travel disruptions are not expected at this time, but residents should keep an umbrella handy and monitor updates in case shower intensity increases.

Rain chances taper off by Thursday, with highs rebounding into the upper 70s and low 80s in some inland areas. Additional advisories may be issued if rain totals climb or storm development increases.
