St. Paul, MN – Residents across the Twin Cities can expect an extended stretch of warm, dry weather through the weekend, with temperatures running above seasonal averages.

According to the National Weather Service Twin Cities, high temperatures will remain near or above 80 degrees from Thursday through Monday. Normal highs for late September are closer to the low 70s, making this week unseasonably warm for the metro area.

Low temperatures will also stay mild, ranging from the mid-50s to around 60 degrees. The forecast calls for clear skies and no measurable rainfall over the next five days, leaving much of Minnesota in dry conditions. The only short-term concern is the potential for patchy fog early Thursday morning, which may affect morning commuters in some areas.

The combination of sun and warmth is expected to continue through Monday, with highs reaching 82 degrees to start next week. The National Weather Service notes that while the dry stretch will be welcome for outdoor activities, ongoing lack of rainfall may contribute to dry soil and limited moisture recovery as fall approaches.

This warm pattern will offer residents a chance to enjoy extended outdoor time, though cooler, wetter conditions may return later in the season.
