Duluth, MN — A powerful April storm is bearing down on northern Minnesota, with Duluth expected to see up to 16 inches of snow and dangerous winds through Wednesday evening.
According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 PM CDT Wednesday, April 2, with hazardous travel likely along Highway 53 and surrounding routes. Snow totals will range from 6 to 11 inches across most areas, with higher terrain near the North Shore receiving 10 to 16 inches. Winds could gust up to 40 mph, reducing visibility and increasing the risk of whiteouts.
