MINNESOTA – Rain moves into the Twin Cities area today, bringing several rounds of light to moderate showers before clearing skies return by the weekend. After a gray and damp midweek, sunshine and mild fall weather will make a comeback across Minneapolis–St. Paul.

The National Weather Service in Chanhassen reports that showers are likely this afternoon and evening, with rain chances near 60–80%. Highs will top out around 54°F today before dipping into the upper 40s overnight. Winds will remain light from the northeast.

Wednesday will see scattered showers and possibly a few afternoon thunderstorms before drier, warmer air moves in late Thursday. Expect highs near 71°F Thursday and 72°F Friday, followed by a mostly sunny and crisp weekend with highs in the mid-60s — ideal for pumpkin patches, leaf peeping, or fall walks along the Mississippi.

No severe weather is expected, but roads may be slick during the Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning commutes. Travelers on I-35 and I-94 should plan for slower travel and occasional visibility reductions in rain.
