According to the National Weather Service Duluth office, the storm system will bring a 90% chance of rain and snow between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday, followed by light snow into early Tuesday. Northwest winds will strengthen, with gusts up to 35 mph creating potential travel delays and reducing visibility. Commuters should exercise caution, especially on elevated and grassy surfaces where snow is likely to accumulate.
Rain transitions into snow Monday evening, with temperatures dipping to a low around 32°F. Little to no accumulation is expected in downtown Duluth, but snowbelt zones and outlying areas could see up to 2 inches.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny and breezy, with a high of 46°F. However, colder air returns Tuesday night, with lows near 30°F and frost potential in low-lying areas.
