Light rain showers will sweep across Minnesota’s Northland today, moving from west to east and potentially bringing up to 0.5 inches of rainfall in north-central regions. This initial wet weather will give way to clearer conditions, as skies are set to become partly to mostly cloudy by Thursday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Duluth, residents can expect the rain to taper off by Thursday morning, ushering in mild, dry conditions that will last through the remainder of the workweek. Highs on Thursday are forecasted to reach 46°F, while Friday will warm slightly with temperatures between 45°F and 53°F. By Friday, skies will be mostly sunny, promising a bright end to the week. Residents commuting along major routes, such as U.S. Highway 53 and Interstate 35, should prepare for wet road conditions today but can expect drier, safer travel later in the week.
The extended forecast shows mostly cloudy skies overnight Thursday, with calm winds picking up slightly through Friday. Saturday brings mild temperatures, peaking at 51°F with a chance of evening rain. While another round of rain may approach late Saturday, Sunday is predicted to be partly sunny with highs near 48°F, providing a pleasant weekend for outdoor plans.
