Duluth, MN – Just as spring begins, winter isn’t letting go. A midweek snowstorm will bring accumulating snow and strong winds to northern Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin, making travel hazardous and delaying outdoor plans.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin late Tuesday and intensify on Wednesday. Northern Minnesota, including Duluth, could see light snowfall, while northwest Wisconsin, especially east of Highway 63, faces a 40–70% chance of six or more inches of snow. Wind gusts up to 30 mph will create blowing snow and reduce visibility, making travel dangerous through midweek. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for parts of northwest Wisconsin.

What to Expect This Week:

• Tuesday Night-Wednesday: Snow showers with temperatures in the low 30s. Wind gusts up to 25 mph.

• Thursday: Clearing skies with a high of 44°F but still breezy.

• Friday: Warmer at 50°F with sunny skies.

• Weekend: Cooler, with another chance of snow Saturday night into Sunday.

Drivers should check road conditions before traveling, as snow and wind could create slick roads and low visibility. Stay updated with the latest forecasts and prepare for winter-like conditions despite the arrival of spring.
