Minneapolis, MN – Snow returns to the Twin Cities Wednesday night, bringing slick roads and dropping temperatures that will set up a cold end to the week. Drivers should prepare for slippery conditions, especially on I-94 and other major routes, as up to an inch of snow is expected.
According to the National Weather Service, snow will begin late Wednesday evening and taper off by early Thursday. Wind gusts up to 25 mph will create additional travel concerns. Temperatures will fall to the teens overnight, with wind chills making it feel even colder.
Thursday will see clearing skies but remain cold, with a morning temperature of 18°F dropping throughout the day. Friday will be partly sunny with a high of 20°F, but another chance for snow arrives late Friday night into Saturday.
With additional snowfall possible this weekend, residents should stay updated on changing conditions. Be sure to follow local weather alerts and drive cautiously on untreated roads.
