Minneapolis, MN – Drivers in Minnesota should prepare for slippery conditions today as scattered snow showers move through the area, particularly along Interstate 94. Highs will range from 35 to 45 degrees, but strong winds and icy patches could make driving hazardous during the morning and afternoon hours.

According to the National Weather Service, snow showers are most likely before 2 p.m., with a 20% chance of precipitation. Northwest winds could reach speeds of up to 30 mph, further complicating travel on major roadways. Cold temperatures in the teens and 20s are expected overnight, leading to the potential for refreezing on untreated roads.

Tuesday will bring relief as clouds decrease throughout the day and temperatures climb to near 43 degrees. By midweek, a warming trend will take hold, with sunny skies and highs in the upper 40s to low 50s expected by Thursday.

Drivers are encouraged to use caution during the snowy conditions today, particularly in northern parts of the state. Keep an eye on local forecasts and check road conditions before heading out. This week‘s warming trend will provide an excellent opportunity for outdoor activities as sunshine dominates the forecast starting Tuesday.
