The cold front will further strengthen on Sunday, increasing the likelihood of showers to 20-90% with highs only reaching between 49 to 53 degrees. Residents along Highway 61 and in the Brainerd Lakes area should prepare for rain and cooler conditions throughout the weekend.
Sunday will see the highest probability of showers, with rain most likely in the Arrowhead region and the northwest. The NWS advises travelers to stay updated on weather conditions and road safety, especially as temperatures drop into the low 40s at night, which could result in slick road conditions.
