Duluth, MN – Scattered showers with isolated thunderstorms are possible across northeastern Minnesota today, according to the National Weather Service. Conditions will quickly shift toward a much drier pattern starting Tuesday, with near-zero precipitation chances lasting through early next week.

According to the NWS Duluth office, Monday brings the best chance for rain, with precipitation probabilities reaching as high as 40% in some areas. Afterward, high pressure is expected to dominate the region, keeping skies mostly clear and rain-free. Temperatures are forecast to remain near to slightly above average for late September, with daytime highs climbing into the upper 60s to low 70s.

Overnight lows will hover in the low-to-mid 50s, setting up potential for fog development during the early morning hours Tuesday and Wednesday. Residents are advised to allow extra travel time during commutes, as reduced visibility is expected in low-lying areas.

By midweek, sunshine and mild conditions will prevail, making for favorable outdoor weather through the weekend. Highs are projected to peak around 72°F on Thursday before cooling slightly into the upper 60s by Sunday.

The NWS notes that this extended stretch of dry weather may provide relief for outdoor events, yardwork, and travel, though fall foliage watchers may want to prepare for foggy mornings before skies clear.
