Minersville, PA – Pennsylvania State Police in Schuylkill Haven have issued an arrest warrant for 38-year-old David Joseph Tavares, wanted on multiple charges related to a 2025 fleeing and eluding case.
According to PSP Troop L, Tavares’ last known address is 28 Spruce St., Minersville. Authorities said the warrant stems from several alleged offenses, including fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental functions, escape, and flight to avoid apprehension. Additional summary charges include following too closely, disobeying traffic control devices, reckless driving, and carrying more passengers than available seatbelts.
The docket number for the case is MJ-21307-CR-0000224-2025. Police stated that Tavares is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.
Law enforcement officials also warned that anyone who assists, harbors, or conceals Tavares could face criminal charges under Pennsylvania Statutes Title 18, Section 5105. These charges can range from misdemeanors to felonies, with possible imprisonment.
