According to the National Weather Service in Sullivan, the strongest storms will pass through between 6 and 8 a.m., with brief heavy downpours, gusty winds, and cloud-to-ground lightning possible. Cities including Madison, Oshkosh, and Fond du Lac could see quick-moving showers during this timeframe.
Travelers on I-94, I-43, and Highway 41 should prepare for slick roads and slower traffic as visibility drops in heavier bursts of rain. Those heading out early are urged to carry rain gear and remain indoors if lightning strikes occur nearby.
Conditions should ease after 8 a.m., though lingering showers may redevelop later in the day.
