Milwaukee, WI – The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan is forecasting widespread showers and a few isolated thunderstorms across Wisconsin today, lasting from late this morning into the evening hours. Cooler temperatures and gusty west-to-northwest winds are expected to accompany the system as it moves through the region.

According to the National Weather Service, some of the stronger storm cells could produce small hail, especially during the afternoon and early evening. Forecasters note that wind gusts may briefly increase in and around any heavier showers.

The combination of cooler air and brisk winds will make for a noticeably chillier day across southern and eastern Wisconsin. Drivers and outdoor workers are advised to use caution as visibility may drop in passing storms, and winds could make travel difficult on open roads.

No severe weather is expected at this time, but meteorologists say residents should monitor local radar and updates throughout the day in case any stronger thunderstorms develop.
