MILWAUKEE – A correctional sergeant from Milwaukee County Jail is in stable condition after being attacked Tuesday morning.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred near the jail at around 5:30 AM when a 41-year-old man, previously incarcerated, assaulted and stabbed the 14-year veteran sergeant. Following the attack, the Milwaukee Fire Department responded, and the sergeant received medical care at a local hospital.
Authorities later apprehended the suspect, and the Milwaukee Police Department is leading the ongoing investigation.
