Starting Monday, powerful south winds will push temperatures into the upper 70s, with gusts reaching up to 40 mph in some areas. Thunderstorms are possible Monday night, primarily in areas north of Milwaukee, from Madison to Sheboygan, creating potential travel hazards on major routes like I-43.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s weather will feature partly sunny skies with temperatures between 62°F and 68°F. By evening, rain and thunderstorms have a 20-70% likelihood north of Milwaukee, particularly around Sheboygan. Residents are advised to secure outdoor furniture and prepare for potential disruptions in outdoor plans, as gusts could reach 30 mph.

On Tuesday, temperatures will climb even higher, reaching up to 80°F in Milwaukee. Stronger winds will accompany this warm front, intensifying by Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon, widespread rain is expected to sweep across the region, with an 85% chance of showers by evening and potential rainfall of up to one inch. Temperatures will dip to 52°F by nightfall, with lingering showers into early Thursday.

Thursday will bring cooler temperatures, with a high of just 57°F and scattered rain throughout the day. Residents should plan for significantly cooler, breezy conditions as the week progresses, and prepare for potential slippery roads during Wednesday’s rainfall.
