Milwaukee, WI – Rain and snow are back in the forecast for southeastern Wisconsin, with Tuesday and Wednesday shaping up to bring spring weather challenges.

According to the National Weather Service in Milwaukee, light rain returns Tuesday afternoon, followed by snow showers likely Wednesday. Winds will also increase, with gusts topping 20 mph at times. Commuters along I-94 through Milwaukee and Waukesha counties should prepare for slick roads and reduced visibility through midweek.

Tuesday’s high will reach 38°F under partly sunny skies, before clouds build into the evening. Rain becomes likely overnight Tuesday into early Wednesday, with snow mixing in before sunrise. The NWS expects measurable precipitation to total between one-tenth and a quarter of an inch. Snow accumulation, while light, may briefly impact grassy surfaces and roads during Wednesday morning’s commute.

Temperatures remain seasonally cool through the workweek. Wednesday tops out at 42°F, with breezy southeast winds between 10 and 15 mph. Thursday brings a 30% chance of showers, mainly before 1 p.m., before partly cloudy skies return by night.

Looking ahead, Friday and Saturday offer the best relief, with sunny skies and highs in the upper 40s and low 50s. Sunday remains dry with only a slight 20% chance of rain and highs near 57°F.
