MILWAUKEE, WI – The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan is monitoring a potential snow system expected to impact parts of Wisconsin over Thanksgiving weekend. While precipitation appears likely, uncertainty remains high regarding the exact track and strength of the system.

Two possible scenarios are being considered:

  • Northern Track: A low-pressure system moves through Iowa into southern Wisconsin Sunday into Monday, bringing a mix of rain and snow, with the heaviest snow possible across northern Wisconsin.
  • Southern Track: A system passes south of Wisconsin on Saturday, producing all-day snow mainly across Illinois and southern parts of the state.

Forecasters emphasize that a period of precipitation is likely sometime during the holiday weekend, but the location and intensity of snowfall are still in question.

Residents are urged to stay up to date with forecast updates and prepare alternative travel plans in case of hazardous conditions.
