Milwaukee, WI – A tense situation unfolded on Tuesday evening when two Milwaukee Police Department detectives encountered an armed suspect on the 1500 block of West Hopkins Avenue. Around 7:27 p.m., the detectives witnessed the suspect pointing a firearm at another individual.
After the suspect refused to comply and pointed his weapon at the detectives, they opened fire. The suspect fled but was apprehended on Wednesday on the 2900 block of N. 37th Street. He had sustained a non-fatal gunshot injury and was transported to a hospital for treatment. The detectives are on administrative duty as the investigation continues.
