Milwaukee, WI – Subzero temperatures will persist across the Milwaukee area through midweek, but a significant warm-up is expected by the weekend.

According to the NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan, a Cold Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Tuesday, with wind chills as low as -29°F. Another advisory will take effect at midnight Tuesday, lasting through 10 a.m. Wednesday, as temperatures continue to plummet.

Wednesday will remain cold, with highs barely reaching 13°F. By Thursday, sunshine returns, and daytime highs will climb into the low 20s. Friday brings continued warming, with a high of 25°F and light winds from the southwest.

By the weekend, the region will break free from the deep freeze, with highs near 30°F Saturday and upper 30s Sunday. While still chilly, these temperatures mark a shift toward more seasonable weather.

Residents should continue taking precautions against extreme cold through midweek but can look forward to milder conditions in the days ahead.
