According to the NWS Des Moines office, the storm system moved through the area on Monday, July 15, bringing torrential winds and tornadoes that caused significant damage. A final assessment, including the survey results, is expected to be completed by early this evening or Wednesday morning.
The forecast for Des Moines today is clear, with a high of 83°F and a low of 69°F. The weather is expected to remain stable through the rest of the week. Wednesday will see sunny skies with a high of 80°F and a low of 64°F. Thursday’s forecast predicts partly cloudy conditions with temperatures ranging from 58°F to 79°F.
