Midwest Alert: Fudge Sold at TJ Maxx, Marshall’s Recalled Due to Mold Risk

Chicago, IL – A recall has been issued for Montreal Fudge sold at TJ Maxx and Marshalls stores across Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Authentik Fudge, based in Sainte-Julie, Quebec, Canada, initiated the recall after a consumer reported mold inside a purchased box. The affected product, “Montreal Fudge,” includes 840 units of Chocolate Fudge with Nuts.

The fudge was distributed in mid-June 2024 and sold at TJ Maxx in western states and Marshalls across Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and others. Packaging for the recalled products is marked with specific lot numbers and expiration dates, found on the back of the 5.6 oz. gable box.

No illnesses have been reported. Authentik Fudge urges consumers in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin to destroy the affected products or return them to the store for a full refund. For questions, consumers can contact the company directly.
