Midlothian, IL – A Midlothian man has been arrested following a shooting incident that occurred outside Coaches Bar on April 6th. Richard Deese, 34, was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after police executed a search warrant related to the crime.
According to the Midlothian Police Department, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office had initially declined to approve charges against the suspects involved in the shooting. However, the investigation continued to gather further evidence, prompting the arrest. Police, with assistance from the South Suburban Emergency Response Team, executed the search warrant in the 4600 block of 146th Street at approximately 4:30 a.m. on April 10th.
Deese was charged with one count of Aggravated Battery with a Firearm, a Class X felony. He is currently being held in the Cook County Lockup, awaiting his court date. The police department expressed gratitude to the South Suburban Emergency Response Team for their support and praised the efforts of the Midlothian Detectives for their work on securing charges against the offender.
