Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee residents can expect another stretch of summer-like weather this weekend before rain chances and cooler air return at the start of next week.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, Friday through Sunday will stay warm and dry, with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s. Overnight lows will remain mild, generally in the 50s and low 60s. Sunshine will dominate the forecast through Sunday, offering favorable outdoor conditions.

The weather shift begins Monday, when scattered showers are expected to move into the region. Forecasters note that rain chances will linger into Tuesday, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures. Highs are forecast in the upper 70s Monday before dipping to the 60s by midweek.

“It still won’t be full-throttle autumn, but these things usually happen in fits and starts,” the weather service explained, noting that this early-October transition often comes gradually rather than all at once.

By Wednesday and Thursday, drier conditions should return, with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 and overnight lows in the 50s to lower 60s.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the sunny conditions this weekend before unsettled weather begins early next week.
