Nashville, Tennessee – Another round of heat, humidity, and daily pop-up storms will keep Middle Tennessee steamy and unsettled through at least Thursday, with heat index values creeping near 100°F in many areas.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, highs from Saturday through Thursday will range from 91°F to 97°F, with rain chances hovering between 20% and 70%—especially in the afternoons and evenings. Sunday briefly offers a dry window, but storm chances return Monday through midweek.

Cities including Franklin, Murfreesboro, and Clarksville can expect daily PM storms capable of producing heavy downpours, localized flooding, and brief wind gusts. Low temperatures will stay muggy, stuck between 69°F and 77°F most nights.

TDOT urges drivers to watch for slick roads during evening commutes, particularly near low-lying areas and intersections prone to runoff. Residents should also prepare for possible power flickers and avoid outdoor activity during peak heat hours, typically from 1–5 p.m.

This marks the continuation of a classic Tennessee summer pattern—high heat, high humidity, and hit-or-miss storms—expected to last into late next week.

⚠️ More heat advisories could be issued if dewpoints climb above 75°F. Stay weather-aware and check for updates daily.
