Nashville, Tenn. – A stretch of warm, dry weather will dominate Middle Tennessee through the weekend, but rain is set to return by Monday, bringing cooler temperatures into midweek.
According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, a stray pop-up shower could develop late Thursday near Land Between the Lakes, but the broader region will see mostly clear skies with daytime highs ranging from the upper 70s to near 80 through Sunday. Overnight lows will hold in the 50s, keeping conditions seasonable.
The change comes Monday, when clouds build and showers develop across Davidson, Williamson, and surrounding counties. Areas along I-65 and I-40 could see periods of light to moderate rain, creating slower commutes to start the week. By Tuesday and Wednesday, rain chances climb higher with scattered storms possible, especially east of Nashville into Cookeville and Crossville.
Residents should enjoy outdoor plans this weekend but prepare for wet roads and cooler air early next week. Charging electronics, clearing gutters, and allowing extra drive time for commutes are recommended steps as rain returns.
Showers are expected to linger through Wednesday before temperatures return to near seasonal norms.
