Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee is recovering after severe weather passed through the area, leaving damage in its wake. An EF-1 tornado, identified in parts of Humphreys and Wilson Counties, left destruction across several neighborhoods. The storm, which brought winds up to 90 mph, is believed to have been associated with a microburst.
According to the National Weather Service, the tornado path was first observed in Humphreys County and continued into Wilson County, where it caused widespread wind damage. Areas within Dickson and Cheatham Counties also experienced strong winds, but not all of the damage could be attributed to the tornado itself. Some damage is still under review, and further investigations may reveal microbursts or brief tornadoes as the culprits in other impacted regions.
In addition to Humphreys and Wilson, communities in surrounding counties, including Davidson, Sumner, and Trousdale, reported similar wind damage, with some local power outages. Residents are advised to stay cautious while surveys continue and emergency teams assess the full extent of the storm’s impact.
