Nashville, TN – A damp and chilly week is on tap for Middle Tennessee, as several rounds of rain are expected to move through the region, according to the National Weather Service Nashville.

Light rain from the weekend system is gradually tapering off today, bringing temporary breaks in the wet weather through Tuesday. However, forecasters say a new storm system will bring another round of steady rain beginning Tuesday night, lasting through Thursday.

Temperatures will remain on the cool side, with highs in the 50s to low 60s and lows dipping into the 40s midweek. By late week, cooler air behind the system will push temperatures even lower, with Friday morning lows near the mid-30s and highs in the upper 50s expected heading into the Halloween weekend.

No severe weather or flooding is forecast, but periods of light to moderate rain could make for damp commutes and outdoor delays.

Halloween weekend is expected to be cool and dry, offering a brisk but calm finish to the month.
