Philadelphia, PA – Residents across the Middle Atlantic can expect dry, comfortable weather to hold steady through the rest of the weekend and into the start of the workweek, keeping travel and outdoor plans mostly uninterrupted. According to the National Weather Service Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center, rain is unlikely until later in the week, especially for Philadelphia, Wilmington, and the I-95 corridor.

The region’s rivers, which have steadily receded thanks to several days of minimal rainfall, are expected to continue dropping. By midweek, rain chances begin to climb—mainly for southern parts of the area, including southern New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland—where showers may arrive late Thursday into Friday. Most northern and central counties will remain dry until at least Thursday morning.

Motorists and residents are urged to stay updated for possible changes, as late-week rain could impact localized flooding in areas where rivers are already running high. Those living near flood-prone streams should keep mobile devices charged and monitor river forecasts.

Conditions are expected to remain dry through early Thursday, with rain more likely to develop by late in the week. Additional advisories or flood watches may be issued if rainfall totals climb.
