Trenton, NJ – Rivers along the Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York border are beginning to recede after a mixed precipitation event on Saturday brought moderate rainfall to the region.

According to the US National Weather Service Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center, streams impacted by the April 12 weather system are stabilizing, with no additional flooding expected. Light rain is forecast to return across much of the tri-state area through Tuesday, with most locations receiving less than 0.25 inches of precipitation.

Conditions on Sunday are expected to be calmer, with possible periods of sunshine, especially in parts of eastern Pennsylvania and central New Jersey. River levels across the region are predicted to either continue dropping or remain stable through early next week.

Residents in flood-prone areas should remain alert, though no widespread flooding is forecast. Minor ponding on roads remains possible in areas with poor drainage due to recent rain saturation.

Drivers are advised to monitor local advisories and check for updates from transportation departments, especially during commuting hours on Monday and Tuesday. The Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center will continue to monitor conditions, with updated precipitation outlooks issued daily.
