Memphis, TN — A pale morning glow stretches across the Mississippi River as the Mid-South wakes to a crisp 50°F start. The clouds that hung low over the city earlier this week are finally breaking, revealing a run of mild, sun-filled days that will make late-October feel more like early fall than early winter.
The National Weather Service in Memphis calls for sunny skies today with highs around 60°F and a northwest breeze near 10 mph. Dry air dominates the region through the weekend, keeping skies clear and humidity low. Friday stays bright, climbing to 62°F, while Saturday brings increasing clouds and a slight 20% chance of light showers, mainly north of I-40.
By Sunday, sunshine returns with highs near 57°F, followed by a gradual warmup into early next week as highs rise toward the mid-60s. Nights will stay cool, dipping into the low 40s, giving the air that perfect “open-window” feel.
Looking ahead, early November may bring a noticeable cool-down as long-range models hint at a cold front diving south by November 10–12. While no snow is expected this far south, the Mid-South could see its first frosty mornings of the season soon after.
For now, it’s a stretch of mild calm — the kind of weather that feels borrowed from spring before winter remembers where Memphis lives.
