Memphis, TN – A stretch of cold November nights is settling over the Mid-South, with temperatures expected to dip into the 30s across much of the region through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

Forecasters say the chill will intensify early this week, with some locations likely seeing freezing temperatures Tuesday morning. The coldest air will affect rural and low-lying areas, where frost or a light freeze could damage sensitive plants.

The temperature outlook shows overnight lows ranging from 31°F to 37°F across cities including Memphis, Tupelo, Jonesboro, and Oxford, with a gradual warmup expected late in the week. Highs are forecast to rebound into the 50s and 60s by Friday.

Officials advise residents to protect outdoor pipes, plants, and pets during the overnight hours, especially early Tuesday when freezing temperatures are most likely.
